Flagstaff

Lies at the junction of historic route 66, Interstate 17, and Interstate 40.
Northern Arizona University is located here and offers a premium education to about 12,000 full time students.
The famous Lowell Observatory (known for discovering Pluto) is located in the Flagstaff area.

Rising from the ponderosa forest floor, the spectacular San Francisco Peaks include multiple forest and alpine life zones, and are home to a variety of wildlife including the threatened Mexican spotted owl. From as far as 100 miles away, people can view Mt. Humphries within the Peaks, the highest point in the state.

Coconino National Forest -

Coconino is one of the more beautiful forests in the western United States.
Camping, horseback riding, hiking, camping and fishing are some of the favorite activities in this area.
